The next CHURCH OF GOD HISTORICAL ROUND TABLE will be held Monday, JULY 26 at the Enola Church of God. It will begin with a picnic supper at 6:30 p.m. Ed Rosenberry will be the speaker. His subject: "F. R. Wiest, A Man Mighty Before the Lord." You may register by emailing Jim Moss at jim@jimmoss.org or calling him at 717‑652‑9129. The next Round Table will be held Monday October 25 at Elizabethtown.

AUGUST 5 will be our next “Common Threads” PRAYER SHAWL MINISTRY MEETING at the home of Jennifer Vergot from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM. Please call Sandy Zimmerman at 649-6873 if you need a ride or directions. If you have a craft, you can bring it, or come learn how to crochet or to knit. The items we make will be going to people who need them and will be blessed before they are given away. Bring a friend!

AUGUST 14 – Reclaim the Streets Ministries is hosting a 6^th Annual “COMMUNITIES IN ACTION DAY” from 7 AM to 7 PM. This is a community-based, grassroots effort where area churches and community organizations are working together to transform our community. Activities are being held at multiple locations throughout the city of Harrisburg, but Reservoir Park is the primary location for the majority of CIA Day 2010 activities. If you are interested in volunteering to participate, please call 717‑238-0586 as soon as possible. CIA Day is free to everyone!

SEPTEMBER 11-13 – CHURCH FAMILY RETREAT at Doubling Gap. The cost is $77.00 per adult and $38.50 per child 1^st through 12^th grades. (Preschool children are free.) Motel rooms are available at an additional rate of $30.00 per night. This year’s theme is “We Will Come to the Mountain”. More information and registration forms can be found on the Camp YoliJwa bulletin board across from the Secretary's office. Please complete the right-hand side and submit with payment to Betty Lou Yanich, 937 Norwood St., Harrisburg, PA 17104 no later than August 29.

VIA COLORI Street Festival:

SEPTEMBER 25-26 - For the seventh year, Harrisburg First Church of God Outreach Ministries is sponsoring the always popular VIA COLORI ^tm, an Italian street painting festival. This is a FREE EVENT that will be held on Saturday, September 25, from 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., and Sunday, September 26, beginning with a Worship Service at 10:30 a.m. and the rest of the day’s activities from 12:00 noon – 5:00 p.m. North Fourth Street, between Market and Walnut Streets, will be closed as local and regional artists literally paint the street. This year’s featured artist is the gifted Carey Brandt from Maytown Church of God and this year’s proceeds benefit the Central Pennsylvania Pregnancy Center & Life Choice Clinic, and Church World Service Crop Walk benefiting Local Food Banks.
